South Shields rising star Natasha Haws was first picked up by her manager Emma Howe while singing at a buskers night. After been asked to write a song and to then perform it on Spark Fm’s Local Music Show to test her talent she came back with ‘Stepping Stone’ which has been refined and sharpened to become the first track on her self titled debut EP.

Inspired by her life experiences her songs are poignant, her talent is evident from the EP, however it is not until the last track “Constant Fairytale” that you hear her vocals as they are which in my opinion are when they are the best.

Somber as the tracks are they both “Stepping Stone” and “Happiness” have been well mixed and give her music a boost that makes it alluring to the music industry as a whole. However without the frills, her last track “Constant Fairytale” is my favourite from the EP as it showcases her musicianship and ability to capture her emotions through simple lyrics – that often when sung live can cause a few tears in the crowd.
Only 17-years-old Natasha’s EP is mature beyond her years, yet it is a fresh sound on the local music scene.

The EP, which has been released through The Bunker UK label, is available to download now from her Bandcamp and she is due to start her mini tour of the UK;
