Split Festival Exhibition
On top of all the music to come with both Split Parade and Split Festival this year’s events have an added extra something with the first Split Festival exhibition.
What is all this? Well simply said it is a showcase of locally sourced art produced by photographers and designers from across the North East. All pieces of work will feature both past and present musicians from the local music scene.
What we like the most is everything you will see you will be able to buy a copy of the prints/photographs will at the exhibition for a decent price as well.
The event will feature a range of artists and photographers including Ian West, Paul Burgess, Idene Roozbayani, David Wala, Caroline Briggs and Dee Chaneva. And include live photos and portraits of well known musical artists such as Field Music, The Futureheads and Frankie & The Heartstrings to new acts including Natasha Haws, B>E>A>K and The Lake Poets.
On this coming Saturday the exhibition will open at Creative Cohesion at 2:00pm with a special performance from Amy Holford. After which the exhibition will move to Ashbrooke Cricket Club, home of Split Festival, on Sunday 16th September and will be open to browse through when the festival is in full swing.
