What it’s all about

This blog is all about local music and events. It’s purpose is to rave and rant about the selection of music begin made, mixed, produced and played in this part of the north as well as the events taking place around the region.

These can be from a festival such as “Split Festival” in Sunderland or “Evolution” in Newcastle. To a new local business of interest opening or a local vintage fayre taking place.

Music

In Sunderland, Newcastle, Gateshead, South Shields and Durham many emerging bands, established bands, independent labels and promotional organisations are all nurturing the local music scene into something really exciting. Therefore through this blog  along with all you music lovers we wish to help promote our local music scene.

Local ?  This is not a blog which covers the whole of the North. This is a blog which covers bands from Sunderland, Newcastle, South Shields, Gateshead & Durham. That is its main purpose.

Just as this Metro Map shows, these are the places the blog will cover, with the exception of festivals, local bands going further afield to play and bands from Durham ( although these bands must consider I would most likely be unable to see them play live through Durham).

This stance is taken because the music we write about and share with you we want you as fans to be able to go see live moreover it is the local music in the North East we want to promote most of all.
